Re: MBD diet question
MBD is a long and painful recovery. She may not feel up to solid food and developing MBD as a picky eater does not help. Skippy has a recipe for soft boo balls, hopefully she will post the recipe on here. You may want to try a Teklad 2018 block soaked in water and get some into her mouth with a tiny...

Re: Is Communication Instinctive?
Good question Jill. Rehabber's will generally agree that baby squirrels should always be raised together. Some communication skills are instinctual and others are learned by interaction with adults and siblings. Raising a baby alone should not be a limiting factor when it comes to release. Other fac...

Re: Baby squirrel unknown age
You need to stop using the bottle and immediately get a 1 mL syringe from a drug store so you can SLOWLY control the flow into it's mouth. If you have the tiny nipple from the bottle kit it may slip over syringe tip or just don't use it. The bottle will aspirate pinkie squirrels. Tiny amounts are th...

Adding Ultraboost to Esbilac
We have learned of a success via The Squirrel Board regarding the addition of Fox Valley "Ultraboost" to Esbilac for babies 2 weeks and older. It is reported that the squirrels are healthy and their condition is good utilizing this method. To mix it properly you add 1/3 portion of Ultraboost to 2/3 ...
