Welcome to The Squirrel Forum Rehabber Fundraiser
With over 40 years of experience, we are the nation’s leading platform dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating squirrels in need. Squirrel Forum has become passionate advocates for these remarkable creatures, and we are proud to recommend Henry’s Healthy Pets as the go-to rehabilitation supply. This Gofundme was created with a mission: to raise awareness and funds for critical projects that support squirrel rehabilitation. During baby squirrel season March through October the demand for rehabbers skyrockets as we work to protect the most vulnerable. Your generosity can make a real difference. By donating, you’ll help provide necessary care for those who need it most. Together we can ensure these amazing animals get the second chance they deserve. Below is a listing of immediate need projects we are focused on. 100% of all funds raised are used only to help squirrels & other animals in need.
We also use Zelle (contact us for more information)
Supplies to Storm Stricken Areas – URGENT
We urgently need supplies and formula for rehabilitators in are destroyed by recent storms. This includes formula, rodent block and costs for medical care.
Southern Fox Squirrel Project URGENT
Sherman’s Fox squirrels (a subspecies) were listed as a “species of concern” in FL and deliberately delisted by FL DNR. Despite skewed FL DNR “DNA tests” & counts populations are not on the increase; they are on the DECLINE by greedy over development. Our only goal is to get these increasingly rare animals relocated to protected proper habitat when rehabilitators receive orphans. MANY protected-by-covenant landowners have stepped up and offered prime habitat safe from logging, development and properly fire managed. It is up to the rehabilitators in the southern coastal plain to contact us and we will arrange in-state release in one of these protected areas by a licensed rehabilitator in that area. This will protect future generations of the species. Our project needs funding for a triage facility, transport cost, rehab supplies and trapping for movement to preserves ahead of development.

DERECHO EMERGENCY – Funds needed to buy formula and squirrel block for rehabilitators overwhelmed by babies after the 7/15 derecho in IA, IL, IN OH & MI

On 7/15/24 ad damaging derecho struck the Midwest orphaning MANY baby squirrels. Rehabilitators are overwhelmed. We estimate we will need approx $2,400 for formula and solid block based on the last derecho.

URGENT CAUSE! Funds needed to have wildlife control catch suffering squirrel and for after vet care. Forever home waiting (Update, Unable to Trap as of 9/7)

This poor baby will die a horrible death unless caught. We need to raise funds to catch this unfortunate squirrel with a private wildlife control company and funds to get her to surgery. Squirrel is located in Lake Worth Florida in a park. We need to raise at least $800 ASAP. Follow up photos will be posted!

Urgent Care For Baby Squirrel

Help needed for dental corrective surgery for this baby. This beautiful Red Pine Squirrel came in with malocclusion (dental overgrowth) that can be corrected by extraction surgery. As you can see in the before and after photos the teeth have been trimmed but extraction is needed. Veterinarian surgery is expensive. Please help with your generous donation to out Gofundme page link at the bottom. Funds from roof repair will be diverted to help this little one. This squirrel already has a forever home and has come a long way since she was suffering with overgrown teeth!

Senior Rehabber Need Help

URGENT!! Senior licensed wildlife rehabilitator in her 70’s just lost her husband and his social security payments. She desperately needs formula, Teklad rodent block, help with house repairs and mortgage payments. We know this woman personally and she takes animals when other rehabilitators won’t leaving them to die. This woman is phenomenal and her home is clean, well maintained – but she has a lot of animals that need food and supplies so they can be released in the spring

Care Facility Repairs

URGENT!! DONATIONS NEEDED ASAP!! Squirrel Rescue & NR Long Term Care Facility Roof Replacement

Actual Building

We run a small squirrel rescue & long term care facility for non-releasables. We have relocated to the Midwest and purchased a building. The building is in need of a new roof ASAP as the interior is being destroyed from leaking rainwater. We are seeking donors to help with this project ($9,000) paid directly to legitimate licensed roofing company. Every dollar helps us reach our goal! THANK YOU!
